Akkordeon-Club Gomaringen e.V. – Musical passion since 1983

Akkordeon-Club Gomaringen e.V. has stood for heartfelt music, community spirit and cultural commitment since its foundation in 1983. What began as a shared musical idea has grown into a vibrant association, firmly rooted in Gomaringen and enriching the musical life of the community for more than 40 years. At the heart of the club is the joy of making music together – carried by people who contribute with enthusiasm, reliability and great personal dedication.

Our orchestra shows just how versatile accordion music can be. Its repertoire ranges from concert works and festive pieces to traditional music, modern arrangements, film music, pop, tango and rhythmically captivating soundscapes. Concerts such as the New Year’s Concert or the church concert bring this variety to life: sometimes festive and moving, sometimes lively and powerful, but always with the aim of taking the audience on a musical journey.

Alongside the musical performances, it is above all the sense of togetherness that shapes the club. The AKC is more than an orchestra: it is a community where encounters, sociability and commitment are highly valued. Joint activities, excursions, club events and the support of many dedicated helpers make the association a place where people get involved, take responsibility and create something together. With around 130 members, the AKC is an established part of Gomaringen’s club life.

The Akkordeon-Club is also actively involved in community life. Whether at the Dorffest at the castle, Gomaringer Beach, the Christbaumloben in the castle courtyard or events organised by the municipality, the AKC brings music, atmosphere and people together. It is not only about performing, but also about creating opportunities for people to meet – at concerts, in a convivial setting or through new event formats that enrich cultural life in Gomaringen.

The future of accordion music is particularly important to the club. Young players, returning musicians and anyone who is enthusiastic about the accordion are warmly welcome. Whether you already play the accordion, would like to start again after a break or simply want to get to know the club, you will find an open and motivated community at the AKC.

The club has its roots in the Schwäbischer Albverein; today, however, the AKC is an independent institution that combines tradition with modernity. Participation in national and international accordion competitions is part of the club’s history, as are visits to Gomaringen’s French partner municipality Arcis-sur-Aube in Champagne. These experiences show that music creates connections – across generations, places and borders.

Akkordeon-Club Gomaringen e.V. looks back on its history with pride and at the same time looks ahead with openness and confidence. Through concerts, events, youth work and a great deal of voluntary commitment, the club keeps accordion music alive and continues to show how rich and multifaceted this instrument can be.
